• Fleer "All Star Team" 12-card set was randomly inserted in wax and cello packs.
• Fleer "Headliners" 6-card set was inserted in rack packs at one per rack.
• Cards were released to the general public in the following formats:

  * 31-Card Cello Pack
  * 45 (15x3) Card Wax Rack Pack

• For the sticker set this year, in addition to doing 26 single team logos and 26 single team "others" (hat, jersey, pennant etc.), for 1987, Fleer did 26 single Team Logos and 26 "2-in-1's". These featured two teams per sticker with smaller logos and each team's name appeared on each sticker twice. There were 26 2-in-1's total, with each team appearing on two stickers, one in the left position on the sticker, one on the right position. The only exception to this is the Chicago White Sox appear both times on the left side, and the St. Louis Cardinals appear both times on the right side. The White Sox and Cardinals appear on a sticker together; the thought is Fleer just swapped the order of the two (Cardinals should have been on the left, White Sox on the right). Most of the teams are paired with an opposite league team on their stickers. The only exceptions of both teams being from the same league on each sticker are: CWS/MIN and DET/NYY. Fleer would repeat this exact formula for 1988, including the White Sox and Cardinals being on the same side twice.
• On the backs of both the single team logo stickers and the 2-in-1's, there is a color team logo, with a ball and glove in black and white. All 26 teams appear on the back once in each sticker style. Philadelphia appears three times on the back, once on the single team logo and twice on the 2-in-1's (they are a back variation along with Cincinnati, the only sticker variation in the entire set). Most stickers feature an unrelated team on the back. Of the 52 stickers in the set, only on 5 occasions does the team that appears on the front of the sticker match the team on the back. They are:
