Look again. Look at the "Mantle", they are not 100% identical.

My understanding is that quite a few printing glitches were considered “errors” by the hobby long before the site existed, so some of those were grandfathered onto the site. But if the same types of things happen to cards now or if a new specific example from a vintage set crops up, it doesn’t meet admin’s criteria for inclusion on the site. So if someone goes rogue and adds it, someone else will just come along and take it back off eventually.

It's not just something stuck to the plate or the platen. If the tiny little holes on the plate that hold the ink get debris in them (such as paper dust), then they can't hold the necessary ink. Thus, no ink is transferred to the platen. No ink on the platen, no ink on the card.

Yes but not the only person paying a giant premium for it….i would like tcdb to enter it into their database and would happily pay to do so

If tcdb recognizes cards like this that only have a tiny fraction of what mantles missing I don’t know what the big deal is, since there’s also different amounts missing on Elliott it leads my to believe Elliott was mechanically fixed with no human intervention and mantle was fixed with human intervention 

And omg, you guys are such “silly purests” card has a giant piece missing it’s reoccurring and 99% identical to all the reoccurring ones on the most popular player ever….you might as well remove 90% of the variations on tcdb then because 90% of them are technically printing defects but people still love them

The members here are only pointing out what Admin's guidelines are when it comes to entering these types of cards. But you are overlooking the difference between a printing glitch and a printing plate change. But if you aren't liking the answer, send a message to Admin and a link to this thread. He has final determination on what gets entered. His site, his rules. And may I recommend NOT offering to pay him to have it entered.

I have no idea how to do that, I keep trying to find a admin but I don’t know how, I’m horrible with computers and tcdb is tough to navigate… now I have ended up here a wounded deer with my 1958 mantles being chased by wolves 😂😂
